HOME      CATALOG INDEX     ORDER INFO

Trilobites are those extinct arthropods, perhaps best known to the general public next to the dinosaurs (which of course are vertebrates). If we lived in a time anywhere between the Cambrian to Permian age we would have seen these three-lobed critters living in the oceans. They possessed a head (cephalon), usually a thorax and a tail (pygidium). They are popular amongst fossil collectors due to their varied forms and life-like appearance.
