     Crinoids are also known as sea-lilies due to their superficial resemblance.  However, they are another group of echinoderms which first appeared in the Ordovician and still have living representatives.

Comments: a nice crown demonstrating the large size of this Iocrinus species, a short pentagonal stem piece is present as well as other crinoid remains.

Locality:  Ontario, Canada
Age/Formation: Middle Ordovician, Bobcaygeon Formation.
Dimensions:  crown 3.5 cm with stem 7 cm long
Comments: a rare species of camerate crinoid; arm plates are somewhat disarticulated; burrow runs through stem, otherwise a nice specimen that displays well.
