... a photographic essay:

Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada

Fossils, wildlife, scenery, field camp, excavation, paleontologists & more

$24.95 U.S. + $5.00 S/H

This CD is a photographic journey of the Burgess Shale as illustrated by 200 original photographs. The work is in pdf with interesting captions and brilliant photography. It covers some of the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale fossils as well as some of the living flora and fauna in the area (Mount Field, Wapta Mountain etc.). You will find beautiful scenery surrounding Walcott's Quarry ... home to a small group of paleontologists during a Royal Ontario Museum field season in 1988. For example, you will see mountain goats, snow storms in July, lightning storms, collecting Burgess Shale fossils and a cast of some characters who visited including Sir David Attenborough and Canadian Park Wardens. The captions are informative with a slant towards a sense of humour. Gotta have a sense of humour in field camp life! This is a must have CD for the Burgess Shale enthusiast! The pdf is copyright and may not be distributed to others in any form, but may be used for personal use including printing ... an archive folder of the full-sized photographs is also included on the CD. Fifteen sample thumbnails are shown below as well as the CD itself. Please allow $5.00 U.S. for safe shipping anywhere in the world. I combine items to save on shipping.
